Got Questions?
We understand. We’re parents and teachers too. Here are some frequently asked questions.
-
Good question. Firstly, it is important to know that all of our curriculum is developmentally appropriate and meets with the standards and guidelines as per the European sexuality standards.
-
Absolutely! And we hope that you will. Our workshops are not supposed to replace conversations you have with your children but to enhance and inspire them.
-
It can be hard to find the exact right time to start. We do however know, that the sooner we start talking openly with our children, the better.
Leaving ‘The Talk’ to be condensed into one conversation that covers the physical and emotional complexity of human sexuality is an impossible task. And yet, this is still how many of us and many of our schools approach Sex Education.
Research shows that approaching this topic in a spiralised and nuanced way can lead to ongoing conversations where shame and fear are replaced with knowledge and empowerment.
What they’re saying
Grace and Aisling are very kind, caring, empathetic educators. The children in my class enjoyed the workshop that was provided by them and found it very enlightening. The parents evening was very informative and put many parents minds at ease about what the children would be learning about. After the session, I received emails from the parents thanking Aisling and Grace for their excellent presentation. I would highly recommend Bludot and will use them again in the future.

Aisling spoke at our Annual Parents Evening in October. She encouraged our parents to hold age appropriate conversations with their children in order to equip them properly for puberty. Her presentation was extremely informative and insightful.

Thank you for the zoom parent session the other day. It was absolutely wonderful and I thought it was amazing. I have two children and try to be as honest with them as much as possible but your talk has given me even more direction on how to tackle those tricky conversations. I especially appreciated that you gave examples of how to approach various subjects, and how you simplified it.
So my journey has begun, to raise children that feel comfortable and know their own body well enough to say what is right and what is not okay. I was inspired by your passion about the topic. Thank you for the recommendations on resources. I feel this talk is a must for anyone with children.

On the day of the workshop I was on my way to an appointment so I watched back the recording. It was brilliant, presented extremely well by you both and so informative. It has really opened my eyes along with my husband’s who also watched the recording. You have given us the tools to start the conversations with our ten year old son.

The online course I did with Blu Dot was so informative and helpful for me as a parent. A wide range of topics were discussed which have helped me navigate open conversations with my children. I now realise that no topic is off limits and that it is so important that we, as parents, give our children all the knowledge and guidance we can so that they have a better understanding of sex and relationships as they grow.
